The Melbourne Career Expo is Australia’s most comprehensive and exciting careers event, covering all career opportunities from employment to education and training in the trades, corporate and professional sectors. Attendee Profile 

Based on a survey taken in 2019, these are the demographics of the visitors attending the career expo: 

• Age: Majority of attendees are ages 18 to 30 (45%), suggesting that many attendees are seeking early career opportunities. A good chunk of the crowd (35%) is over 31, while the remaining (21%) are VCE students. 

• Reason for Attendance: 34% of attendees are actively seeking employment while 35% are looking for reliable career advisers. The remaining 31% are there to gather university options or further training opportunities. 

• Level of Education: More than half of the attendees (57%) have qualifications higher than VCE, a direct correlation for the earlier statistics on age and reason for attendance. Meanwhile, 32% are still studying and 11% have completed their VCE.
